背面描述 Central field bears two large Chinese characters reading 十文 (Ten Cash/Wen), surrounded by a wreath composed of rice stalks with full, thick ears, tied at the base with a ribbon. Above the wreath, four characters read 中華民國 (Republic of China), and below, four characters read 共和紀念 (Commemorating the Republic). The design is contained within a beaded border. The overall composition is symmetrical and emblematic of the early Republican commemorative coinage style.

附加信息

Yuan Shikai's provisional presidency in 1912 generated a flurry of pattern coinage as the nascent Republic scrambled to establish a distinct monetary identity separate from Qing dynasty issues still circulating in enormous quantities. This thick-planchet copper pattern — cataloged under at least four separate reference systems, which itself signals how contested the attribution history has been — was never approved for general production. The "thick rice stocks" designation distinguishes it from the thinner-planchet variant of the same type, a die-characteristic difference that has driven significant price divergence between the two at auction.
