| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Kannada inscription occupying the central field, reading 'ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ೧೦ ಕಾಸು ಮೈಸೂರು', identifying the issuing ruler Krishna Raja Wodeyar III, the denomination of 10 Cash, and the issuing authority of Mysore. The legend is rendered in bold Kannada script with characteristic rounded strokes, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. A granular or beaded border encircles the field, typical of Mysore copper coinage of this era. The strike is uneven due to the hammered technique, resulting in some areas of weak impression at the periphery. The overall design reflects the epigraphic coinage tradition prevalent in the princely states of southern India during the early nineteenth century. |
