| Obverse description | Central field displays four large Chinese characters reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao, meaning 'Guangxu Original Currency') arranged in a cruciform pattern around a central floral rosette, all within a beaded inner circle. Manchu script characters appear flanking the central design to the left and right within the inner circle. The outer legend along the upper arc reads 安徽省造 (Made in Anhwei Province) in Chinese, with the denomination 十當 (Ten Cash) appearing at the lower portion of the legend. The entire design is contained within a beaded border and a raised rim. |
