Reverse description A coiling five-clawed Imperial dragon rendered in high relief occupies the central field, its body sinuously curved with detailed scales and flame-like appendages, pursuing a flaming pearl. The dragon is enclosed within a beaded inner border. The surrounding legend in Latin characters reads 'KIANG-NAN' at the top and 'TEN CASH' at the bottom, separated by small rosette stops at either side. The outer rim is defined by a fine reeded edge, consistent with milled Qing provincial coinage of the period.
