| Obverse description | Central field bears four Chinese ideograms arranged in a cruciform pattern reading top to bottom and right to left, flanked on either side by Manchu script characters. A decorative floral rosette occupies the centre between the ideograms. A circular legend of Chinese ideograms surrounds the entire central device, with the inscription denoting the province of manufacture, the Boo-su mint, the Guangxu Emperor's reign title, the denomination Yuanbao, and the value of ten cash. |
