| Reverse description | The reverse displays a coiled Imperial Chinese dragon in high relief at the centre, rendered in the typical late Qing provincial style with detailed scales, claws, and a prominent horned head facing forward. The dragon is depicted in a sinuous, coiled posture occupying most of the central field, surrounded by a beaded inner border. Small six-pointed rosette ornaments are evenly spaced around the beaded circle, alternating with the dragon's body elements. The upper legend reads 'AN-HWEI' in raised Latin capital letters, and the lower legend reads 'TEN CASH', both separated from the dragon by the beaded border. A finely reeded or dentilated outer border frames the entire reverse design. |
