Reverse description Two Chinese ideograms in regular script (kaishu) are placed vertically above and below the central square perforation. The character 桂 (Gui), denoting the Guilin mint in Guangxi province, appears above the hole, while 十 (Shi), indicating the denomination of ten cash, is positioned below. The reverse field is otherwise plain, bounded by a raised inner rim around the square hole and a plain outer rim, consistent with standard large-denomination cast bronzes of the late Yuan–early Ming transitional period.
