Reverse description The reverse presents two Chinese characters in regular script arranged vertically along the vertical axis of the central square perforation: 十 (Shi, meaning 'ten') above the hole and 福 (Fu, denoting the Fujian provincial mint) below. Both characters are cast in bold raised relief within plain inner and outer rims. The field is otherwise blank, with natural bronze patina showing green and brown toning consistent with the period. This arrangement follows standard Song and Yuan dynasty denomination-marking conventions adapted by the Da Zhong coinage.
