The legend, distributed across the field and peripheral areas, reads 江西省造 (Kiangsi Province Made), 壬子 (Renzi year, 1912), 大漢 (Great Han), 銅幣 (Copper Currency), and 當十錢制 (Equivalent to Ten Cash). An inner beaded border separates the central field from the milled outer rim. The overall design is characteristic of late Qing transitional provincial copper cash issues, with bold raised characters in a plain field. |
