| 正面描述 | Stylised sketch-art vignette of the Morlaix valley rendered in a hand-drawn illustrative style on a warm beige ground, with a left-side vertical red and orange bar. The central scene shows schematic orange figures exchanging banners inscribed 'Bzk' amid a pastoral landscape with a dairy cow, trees, rooftops and the Morlaix viaduct in the background. The currency name 'BUZUK' — with a bird motif replacing the letter 'U' — appears in large red lettering across the top, flanked by the denomination numeral '10' at upper right and an inverted '10' at lower left. |

The Buzuk is a local complementary currency (monnaie locale complémentaire) issued in the Pays de Morlaix, a region in Finistère, Brittany. It belongs to the wave of citizen-backed local currencies that proliferated in France after the 2014 law on the social and solidarity economy (Loi ESS) formally recognized such instruments, giving them a legal framework for the first time. The Buzuk launched in 2015 and is exchangeable at par with the euro exclusively within a network of participating local businesses — it cannot be exchanged back to euros by individuals, only by member businesses, a mechanism designed to keep spending anchored in the local economy.
The name references the Breton word for a small insect, chosen to evoke something humble and local rather than grandiose.
