正面描述 The obverse is an engraved intaglio design centered on the Venezuelan coat of arms within an oval vignette, flanked by large numerals '10' on either side. To the left sits a classical allegorical male figure, while to the right a female allegorical figure with a cornucopia occupies a matching position; both figures are rendered in fine crosshatch engraving. The upper banner reads 'BANCO DE MARACAIBO / COMPAÑIA ANONIMA' with the capital notation 'Bs. 1.250.000', and a bold letterpress panel below bears the denomination 'DIEZ BOLIVARES' framed by ornamental crosses.

备注

The Banco de Maracaibo was a regional commercial bank in Venezuela's oil-producing west, and its notes circulated through the Lake Maracaibo basin during a period when the national government had not yet consolidated monetary authority. American Bank Note Company in New York handled production for many Latin American private and regional banks during this period, and the quality of their intaglio work was substantially higher than anything Venezuela could produce domestically at the time.

Regional Venezuelan private bank notes were progressively squeezed out after the Banco Central de Venezuela's eventual consolidation of currency issuance, making survivor notes from regional issuers like this one genuinely uncommon in any grade.
