| Reverse description | A bold crowned cross divides the field into four quarters, each adorned with a flowering branch or sprig, forming a symmetrical wreath-like composition. At the centre of the cross, a large ornate letter S is entwined with a floral garland. A civic crown surmounts the cross at the top. The Latin legend CUNCTA PER DEUM arcs around the upper border, while the date 1767 appears in the lower exergue flanked by small star ornaments. |

| Additional information |
Solothurn's 10 Batzen pieces of the 1760s were produced by a city-state that had long cultivated French diplomatic ties — Solothurn served as the seat of the French ambassador to the Swiss Confederacy for over two centuries, a relationship that brought both prestige and hard currency into the canton's treasury. The 1767 date falls within a relatively stable minting period for the city, though surviving examples attributed to this year under HMZ 1#2-845e show minor die variations consistent with the hand-finishing practices of the Solothurn municipal mint.
