| Obverse description | The steel crown of Romania (the Crown of Steel, forged from a captured Ottoman cannon) is depicted prominently at the top of the field, rendered in high relief with detailed arches and pearled band. Beneath the crown, a raised circular ring occupies the central field, flanked on either side by crossed flags or banners in low relief. The legend ROMANIA appears in bold raised letters on a curved ribbon or scroll running across the lower portion of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a finely beaded border. |
