The central medallion carries the coat of arms of Panama, rendered in fine intaglio engraving and enclosed within a circular frame, flanked on either side by bold guilloche panels bearing the denomination numeral 10 and the word DIEZ. The legend DIEZ BALBOAS is inscribed along the lower border, and the entire design is executed in dark brown ink over an intricate geometric lathe-work background. The printer's imprint of the Hamilton Bank Note Company appears at the lower margin. |
