| 表面の説明 | A front-facing bust portrait of King Rama VIII (Ananda Mahidol) occupies the central vignette, with Mahakan Fort and the Golden Mount (Phu Khao Thong) rendered in the background. A circular cartouche in the lower right encloses a secondary vignette of a constitution manuscript resting upon a two-tiered phan (ceremonial tray). Guilloche borders frame the composition, with denomination numerals positioned at each corner. |

Thailand's first post-war notes presented an awkward problem: Rama VIII, Ananda Mahidol, died under disputed circumstances in June 1946 — a gunshot wound to the forehead officially ruled accidental — leaving notes bearing his portrait in active circulation during an immediately sensitive political period. The Series 7 notes had been printed by De La Rue in London during wartime supply constraints, with delivery and release complicated by the Japanese occupation of Bangkok.
The Type II watermark distinction separates later impressions from the initial run. Pick lists P#56B specifically for the wave pattern watermark, as opposed to the earlier hatched variety.
