| Obverse description | Front-facing effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) occupying the aluminium bronze centre, depicted in royal ceremonial attire with elaborately embroidered robes and wearing eyeglasses, rendered in high relief. The Thai legend encircles the portrait within the copper-nickel outer ring, reading along the upper arc and descending on both sides. Below the effigy, at the base of the outer ring, the inscription 'รัชกาลที่ ๙' (Reign No. 9) appears as a central lower legend flanked by decorative flourishes. |
