| Reverse description | Two stylised renderings of Customs Department buildings flank the central field, one at left and one at right, depicted in perspective view with traditional Thai architectural detailing. At the centre, a circular logo incorporating a chedi (stupa) motif bears the inscription '125 ปี กรมศุลกากร' (125 Years of the Customs Department). The outer copper-nickel ring carries the date '๔ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๔๒' (4 July 2542) at the top and the country name 'ประเทศไทย' (Thailand) to the right, while the denomination '๑๐ บาท' (10 Baht) appears in Thai numerals at the base. |

Issued to mark the centennial of the Thai Customs Department, founded in 1899 under Rama V as part of a broader administrative modernization pushed partly by foreign pressure to regularize trade revenues. The commemorative 10 Baht bimetallic format had by 1999 become the Royal Thai Mint's default vehicle for institutional anniversaries, resulting in a crowded series that has kept secondary market premiums modest for most issues.
