| 正面描述 | Printed in red on white paper, the obverse is dominated by a central oval vignette of a coastal scene with a lighthouse on a rocky promontory and a sailing vessel at sea, enclosed within ornate guilloche borders. The bank title BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO arcs across the top alongside Chinese characters, with the denomination DEZ AVOS rendered in large letterpress type on either side of the vignette. Decree details and the imprint of the printer appear below the serial number panel at foot, flanked by the manuscript signatures of the Gerente and the Director de Fazenda. |

| 背面描述 | Printed in dark blue-green, the reverse centres on the heraldic arms of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino set within a classical architectural frame of columns and laurel branches, surrounded by intricate guilloche lacework. The bank name BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO curves around the central device, with the denomination DEZ AVOS in Latin script at left and the Chinese equivalent 壹毫 at right. MACAU with its Chinese rendering 門澳 appears below the central vignette, and COLÓNIA PORTUGUÊSA is lettered at the foot of the note. |

| 备注 |
The Banco Nacional Ultramarino issued currency for Portuguese overseas territories across Asia and Africa, and this small-denomination Macau note was printed locally in Hong Kong rather than in Lisbon or London — an arrangement driven by wartime disruption to European supply chains that persisted well into the postwar years. The Hongkong Printing Press was a practical choice for colonial notes circulating in southern China's orbit.
At ten avos, this sat at the bottom of the denomination ladder, handling everyday market transactions in a colony whose economy ran heavily on gambling revenue and entrepôt trade with the mainland.
