正面描述 The central smooth field bears a relief emblem of the National Bank of Abkhazia, beneath which a legend in Abkhazian reads 'АҦСНЫ АБАНК' (Bank of Abkhazia). A semicircular legend above the emblem denotes the denomination '10 ҦСАРК' (10 Apsars). Along the left rim appears the metallic composition designation and fineness mark (Ag 925) per the Mendeleev Periodic Table convention, while the Moscow Mint monogram 'ММД' appears along the right rim. The lower portion of the coin, rendered in a matted field, carries a five-line inscription identifying the issuing bank and the year of mintage '2011' in raised letters.

附加信息

The Dormition Cathedral at Lykhny is among the oldest surviving Christian structures in the Caucasus, dating to the tenth century and located in what was the medieval capital of the Abkhazian principality. Abkhazia's declaration of independence from Georgia in 1999 — recognized by almost no one internationally — gave the National Bank a peculiar mandate: issue coinage for a state whose currency has no meaningful circulation and whose sovereignty is disputed by nearly every government on earth. These silver issues exist almost entirely as numismatic objects, never intended for a cash economy.
