Beschrijving keerzijde On a matted field, a prominent raised figure of a warrior holding aloft a flying flag, depicted in a dynamic pose with smooth-surfaced relief. Encircling the upper portion of the field, the Abkhaz inscription 'АИААИРА' (Victory) arcs above the warrior figure, flanked by the dates '1992' and '1993' separated by decorative dots, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Abkhazian victory in the 1992–1993 war. All lettering and figural elements are rendered with a smooth, polished finish against the matted ground.

Aanvullende informatie

Abkhazia declared independence from Georgia in 1999, though it remains unrecognized by the vast majority of UN member states. The Bank of Abkhazia issues coins primarily for collector export rather than domestic circulation — the Russian ruble functions as the territory's de facto currency. The "victory" commemorated here refers to the 1992–1993 war with Georgia, which ended with Abkhaz forces, backed by North Caucasian volunteers and tacit Russian support, expelling Georgian troops and much of the ethnic Georgian population from the territory.
