| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a dynamic equestrian figure of Saint George in full armour, mounted and thrusting a lance downward to slay a dragon beneath the horse's hooves, closely based on the classic Benedetto Pistrucci design used on British sovereigns. The series title ICONS OF THE WORLD arcs along the upper legend, with the date 2016 inscribed to the left of the central motif. Along the lower periphery, the legend .9999 FINEST GOLD 1/200 OZ OR PUR certifies the fineness and weight of the coin. A circular mint or issuer hallmark device appears to the right of the central figure. The composition of the scene is rendered in bold relief against a plain field, faithfully evoking the sovereign tradition. |
