| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Rwanda is depicted centrally within a beaded circle, featuring a traditional woven basket flanked by a coffee branch at left and a sorghum stalk at right, a sun and two interlocked rings below, and a shield overlaid on a crossed knot motif at the base. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while AMAFARANGA to the lower left and ICUMI to the lower right frame the denomination numeral 10 at the bottom of the field. The design is rendered in high relief against a polished field. |

| Additional information |
Rwanda has issued a series of tiny fractional gold pieces marketed primarily through European bullion dealers, exploiting the country's relatively permissive commemorative coinage licensing arrangements. The kangaroo subject has no connection to Rwanda — it was chosen for its established collector appeal in the fractional gold market, where Australian themes reliably sell.
At 0.155 g, this is among the smallest gold coins in regular commercial production anywhere.
