| 表面の説明 | The national coat of arms of Rwanda is centrally depicted within a circular cartouche, featuring a traditional hut flanked by a tree and a coffee plant, surmounted by a sun, with two interlocked knots at the base and the national motto inscribed on a ribbon below. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA curves along the upper periphery and REPUBULIKA Y'U RWANDA appears on a scroll within the arms. The denomination numeral 10 is positioned at the bottom center of the field, flanked by the inscriptions AMAFARANGA to the left and ICUMI to the right. |

Rwanda's National Bank has issued a long-running series of small-format bullion and collector pieces marketed heavily through European distributors, particularly Coin Invest Trust of Liechtenstein, which has handled production and distribution for many of these issues. This elephant piece belongs to that pipeline rather than to any domestic monetary program — it was never intended to circulate in Rwanda and few if any examples ever reached the country.
At 1.24 grams of .999 silver, the economics of face value versus metal content were irrelevant from inception.
