| Aanvullende informatie |
Rwanda has issued a long-running series of fractional gold "dime" pieces nominally denominated in francs but designed entirely for the bullion collector market — the franc itself has not circulated in meaningful coinage for decades. The black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) population in Rwanda was functionally eliminated by poaching and habitat loss during the late 20th century; the country has since reintroduced small numbers to Akagera National Park beginning in 2017.
