Reverse description A double-headed axe (labrys), the emblematic cult symbol of Tenedos, depicted upright and centered in the field. Two small stars are placed symmetrically below the axe head, flanking the handle. The design is rendered boldly within the flan with no surrounding legend, consistent with the civic bronze coinage of Tenedos during the fifth and fourth centuries BC.
