| Obverse description | Grey and rose-brown note with an ornate floral guilloche underprint dominating the centre, within which the large Chinese denomination characters 壹萬圓 (10,000 Yuan) are printed. A circular vignette to the right carries an intaglio view of a traditional Chinese pavilion with a gateway. The bank title 東北銀行 appears at upper centre, two red seal impressions are visible at the lower centre, and the red serial number and prefix letters are printed at upper right and left respectively. |

| Reverse description | Printed in a uniform mauve-brown tone, the reverse is centred on an intaglio vignette of a large neoclassical bank building with a colonnaded façade and a flag atop the roof, set within an elaborate scrollwork border. The denomination 壹萬圓 appears in ornamental cartouches to the left and right, and the numeral 10000 is set in a decorative panel at the bottom centre. The bank title 東北銀行 runs along the upper border within a scrolled frame. |
