| Opmerkingen |
The People's Bank of China never actually issued a 10,000 Yuan note in 1949 under the first series of Renminbi — the highest denomination printed that year was 50,000 Yuan, but the 10,000 Yuan denomination did exist within the first series, issued between 1949 and 1951. The "Replica" designation here is the operative word: reproductions of early PRC currency were produced for educational and commemorative purposes decades later, as the originals were withdrawn and largely destroyed following the 1955 redenomination at 10,000 old Yuan to 1 new Fen.
