Central device depicts the papal coat of arms of Pope Francis in high relief, comprising a quartered shield bearing the IHS Christogram with sunburst above a cross and nails in the upper field, a star in sinister base, and a bunch of grapes in dexter base, all surmounted by a papal mitre with two crossed keys of Saint Peter. A scroll beneath the shield bears the papal motto MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO. The arms are surrounded by a beaded inner border, with the curved legend POPE FRANCIS'S VISIT TO KOREA arcing along the upper rim, and the inscriptions 2014, THE BANK OF KOREA, and 10000 WON disposed along the lower rim, flanked by small cross ornaments. |
