Issued to mark the tenth anniversary of the Bank of Slovenia's founding in 1991, this commemorative 10,000 tolarjev note was released during a period when Slovenia was already deep into accession negotiations with the EU — the tolar itself had fewer than three years left before the euro transition rendered the entire series obsolete. Giesecke & Devrient in Munich handled production, as they did for much of the regular tolar series.
The print date of 30 April 1945 in the catalog data is almost certainly a metadata error — that date predates the Slovenian state by nearly five decades.
