| Obverse description | Central vignette comprises a portrait of Chinggis Khaan (born Temüjin, c. 1162–1227), founder of the Mongol Empire, accompanied by a Paiza (Gerege) — a rectangular tablet of authority issued to Mongol officials and envoys conferring the right to requisition goods and services from the civilian populace. The National Coat of Arms of Mongolia appears on the obverse, set against fine guilloche underprint work. Denominations in both Western numerals and traditional Mongolian script are inscribed alongside the issuing authority legends. |
