Obverse description Central vignette presents an intaglio portrait of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, the 18th-century ruler of Palembang, set against a purple and rose guilloche underprint with floral arabesques. The Garuda Pancasila state emblem appears in the upper right corner, accompanied by two signature panels for the Gubernur and Deputi Gubernur of Bank Indonesia below an optically variable ink numeral.
