Above the portal, a reproduction of Dionysius's fresco from the middle register, The Nativity of the Virgin Mary, incorporating scenes of the Bathing, Infancy, and Caress. Flanking the portal to the left and right stand the Archangels Michael and Gabriel in relief. Below the figures, a decorative shroud ornamented with circular motifs is depicted, and at the bottom of the design the Cyrillic inscription ДИОНИСИЙ (Dionysius) appears above a stylised floral ornamental border. |
