备注

This note occupies a genuinely strange corner of post-Soviet monetary history. In the chaotic early 1990s, Belarus suffered acute small-denomination coin shortages as inflation obliterated the purchasing power of low-value currency. Various institutions — including churches — were authorized or at least tolerated in issuing local exchange certificates to fill the gap. The Belarusian Orthodox Church's involvement here reflects the broader disorder of that transitional period rather than any formal ecclesiastical banking role.

The co-issuer relationship with the Savings Bank of the Republic of Belarus is what gave these notes whatever redemption credibility they carried.
