| Reverse description | Printed in orange-brown on a light yellow underprint, the reverse is dominated by an elaborate intaglio design centred on a large ornate scroll-ribbon carrying the denomination legend DEZ MIL REIS in bold letters, beneath a radiating tropical-palm vignette. The bank name BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO curves around the upper oval border in large display lettering, with ULTRAMARINO continuing along the lower arc; the numeral denomination 10$000 Rs. appears within a decorative cartouche at the foot of the central device. Stylised floral and foliate corner ornaments with coffee-plant sprays fill the four corners, and the numeral 10 is repeated in each side margin. |
