| 备注 |
Argentina's shift to polymer banknotes accelerated after 2017, when chronic inflation was already rendering lower denominations functionally useless. This 10,000 peso note — the highest denomination in the series at its introduction — reflects how quickly purchasing power collapsed in the intervening years: a note of this face value bought progressively less with each passing month of circulation.
Inés de Unanue de Zorreguieta, honoured here, was a prominent Argentine conservationist and founder of the Humedales sin Fronteras foundation. Her selection continued the central bank's policy of replacing military and political figures on high-denomination notes with figures from science and environmental advocacy — a deliberate reorientation begun around 2016.
