| Obverse description | Draped bust of Prince Felipe (Felipe de Borbón) facing three-quarters right, engraved in high relief and set within a raised inner circle. The legend JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPAÑA arcs along the upper periphery of the outer border, while PRINCIPE FELIPE curves below the effigy within the inner circle. The date 1991 appears prominently at the base of the coin outside the inner circle, flanked by two small pellet stops. The portrait captures the young prince in civilian attire, rendered in a naturalistic style by engraver Rafael Vallejo García. |
