| 背面描述 | A circular arrangement of portrait medallions depicting the nine Bourbon Kings of Spain, each separated by fleurs-de-lis, surrounds the central royal coat of arms of Spain. The portraits are identified by name in the surrounding legend and are positioned clockwise beginning with Felipe V at approximately 1 o'clock, followed by Luis I, Fernando VI, Carlos III, Carlos IV, Fernando VII, Isabel II, Alfonso XII, and Alfonso XIII. The commemorative legend in the outer field references the third centennial of the House of Bourbon, with the denomination 10000 PTAS inscribed below. |

This piece belongs to the large-format silver series Spain issued through the 1990s partly as a funding mechanism for the Royal Mint itself, which had been reorganized as a public enterprise in 1893 and relied increasingly on collector issues to sustain operations. The 168.75g specification places it among the heaviest circulation-denomination Spanish coins ever produced, though "circulation" is purely nominal at this size.
1997 was the year Juan Carlos navigated Spain through the assassination of PP politician Miguel Ángel Blanco by ETA, a murder that triggered the largest public demonstrations in Spanish democratic history.
