Obverse description At center, the rearing Saxon white horse (Sachsenross), the traditional heraldic symbol of Westphalia, rendered in high relief and facing right with forelegs raised. The denomination '10000 Mark' is inscribed in Fraktur blackletter below the horse within the field. A circular legend in Fraktur script surrounds the entire design along the periphery, with the date '1923' flanked by lozenge stops appearing at the base.

Reverse description Left-facing bare-headed portrait bust of Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein, Prussian statesman and reformer, rendered in high relief with naturalistically detailed hair falling to the nape of the neck. The bust occupies the central field without truncation. A continuous circular legend in Fraktur blackletter surrounds the portrait along the rim, with his birth and death years '1757-1831' appearing at the lower left.
