| 表面の説明 | The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of the Myanmar state emblem — two chinze (mythical lion-like guardian figures) flanking a red roundel with a golden map of Myanmar, set against an intricate multicolour guilloche underprint in teal, pink, and yellow. The denomination appears in the upper right corner in both Arabic numerals and Burmese script, with a colour-shifting optically variable ink numeral panel in green and gold at the lower right. A watermark window is reserved at the left, and a vertical security thread runs through the centre. |

Myanmar's highest-denomination note at the time of its introduction, the 10,000 Kyat was introduced against a backdrop of rapid economic liberalization following decades of military-controlled isolation. The Central Bank of Myanmar had functioned largely as a government cashier under the junta era, with monetary policy secondary to regime financing — so the very existence of a note at this denomination reflected how dramatically the post-2011 transition had changed the economy's velocity.
The security package — OVI, thread, and watermark — was a deliberate signal to foreign investors and correspondent banks that Myanmar's currency infrastructure was modernizing. Whether the public trusted it was another matter entirely.
