Aanvullende informatie

Issued across three years to commemorate the Prague Groschen, a silver coin first struck in Kutná Hora beginning in 1300 under Wenceslas II — one of the most influential monetary instruments of medieval Central Europe. The original Groschen dominated trade across the Holy Roman Empire for over a century before debasement and competition from other regional coinages eroded its dominance.

The Czech National Bank's gold rendition appeared just years after the 1993 dissolution of Czechoslovakia, during a period when the newly independent Czech Republic was actively anchoring its financial institutions and numismatic identity.
