| Obverse description | The obverse features a circular gold centre insert bearing the Slovak state coat of arms at centre, flanked by the year of issue 2004, surrounded by a ring of twelve stars symbolising the European Union. At the junction of the gold centre and the outer palladium ring, a secondary circle of ten stars represents the nations acceding to the EU. The legend SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA arcs along the upper portion of the outer palladium field, while the denomination 10000 Sk is inscribed along the lower edge. The designer's initial S.N. and the Kremnica Mint mark appear to the right of the year, at the bimetallic border. |
