| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of President El Hadj Ahmadou Ahidjo occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine textural detail on the hair. His name, 'El Hadj A. Ahidjo', curves beneath the portrait in a distinctive calligraphic script. The bilingual circular legend reads 'Republique Federale du Cameroun' on the left and 'Federal Republic of Cameroon' on the right, with decorative dot separators.
