| 背面描述 | A densely composed scene depicting the Inferno from Dante's Divine Comedy fills the entire field in extraordinarily high sculptural relief. A large demonic face with wide staring eyes and a gaping, fanged mouth occupies the centre, surrounded on all sides by a multitude of writhing nude figures representing the tormented souls of the damned. The figures are rendered in great anatomical detail, overlapping and intertwined across the field in a dynamic, almost three-dimensional composition reminiscent of Baroque infernal imagery. The legend 'inferno' appears in lowercase Gothic-style lettering along the lower rim. |
