| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Burkina Faso occupies the central field, depicting a shield bearing a central five-pointed star, flanked by two rearing horses and surmounted by crossed torches beneath a scroll inscribed BURKINA FASO. Below the shield, an open book rests between floral sprigs, with the motto UNITÉ PROGRÈS JUSTICE rendered across the base. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU BURKINA FASO arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10000 FRANCS CFA is prominently struck in the lower field. The entire design is executed in antiqued high relief, lending the surface a rich tonal contrast. |

This is one of a cluster of large-format silver kilogram issues produced for Burkina Faso by the Monnaie de Paris under licensing arrangements that became increasingly common among West African CFA franc nations in the 2010s. The coins are legal tender in name, but the face value of 10,000 CFA francs — roughly €15 at the time of issue — bears no relation to the silver melt value, and they never entered circulation in any meaningful sense.
