Chad's franc CFA is issued through the BEAC — the regional central bank covering six Central African states — which means Chad itself holds no independent monetary authority over its currency. Collector issues like this one are licensed through that framework but produced entirely for the numismatic export market, bearing no practical relationship to the CFA franc in circulation.
