Obverse description Dynamic high-relief battle scene depicting a fully armoured war elephant charging forward, its trunk raised and tusks extended, trampling enemy soldiers beneath its feet. A mahout is visible atop the elephant, brandishing a weapon, while armoured Roman legionaries with round shields and spears engage in combat on the left. The Chad national coat of arms appears in the right field. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD arches prominently across the upper field in large bold letters, and the denomination 10000 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower rim in a recessed cartouche. The entire composition is rendered in antique finish with exceptional sculptural depth.

Reverse description Imposing high-relief portrait of Hannibal Barca depicted as a bearded warrior in three-quarter view, wearing a diademed helmet and richly decorated armour with a lion-head pauldron medallion, his right hand brandishing a curved sword toward the viewer. Behind him, two armoured war elephants with riders advance through a mountainous Alpine landscape, flanked by Carthaginian and enemy soldiers bearing spears and shields. In the upper field, a commanding figure stands atop a fortified structure between the divided date 20-24. The composition evokes the famous crossing of the Alps and conveys a powerful sense of military drama through deep sculptural relief and antique patination.
