| Obverse description | Dynamic high-relief battle scene depicting a fully armoured war elephant charging forward, its trunk raised and tusks extended, trampling enemy soldiers beneath its feet. A mahout is visible atop the elephant, brandishing a weapon, while armoured Roman legionaries with round shields and spears engage in combat on the left. The Chad national coat of arms appears in the right field.
