| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears the full coat of arms of the Republic of Benin, comprising a quartered shield supported by two leopards rampant, with a chief displaying two cornucopiae. A scroll beneath the shield carries the national motto in the legend FRATERNITE JUSTICE TRAVAIL. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU BENIN runs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while the denomination 5000 FRANCS CFA is inscribed in the lower field. | Beschrijving keerzijde | Two giant pandas are depicted in high relief against a detailed naturalistic landscape featuring rocky outcroppings, bamboo foliage, a gnarled tree, and distant mountain peaks rendered in fine engraving. A large adult panda dominates the right foreground, facing left, while a smaller juvenile panda is positioned to the left in the middle ground.
