Chad has no meaningful connection to ancient Greek athletics, and that's exactly the point — this is a bullion-adjacent collector issue struck under a licensing arrangement that allows the République du Tchad to appear as nominal issuer while the actual production and distribution runs through European private minting operations, typically in Poland or the Czech Republic. The Discobolus original bronze was cast by Myron of Eleutherae around 450 BC and is known today only through Roman marble copies, none of which precisely agree with one another.
