Popis líce	The obverse carries a vignette of the mausoleum of Ahmed Abdallah Abderemane, first president of the Comoros, alongside a view of the mosque in Domoni, Anjouan. The composition is set against a multi-colour guilloche underprint with the denomination rendered in bold numerals. Inscriptions of the issuing authority appear within the upper register.

Popis rubu	The reverse presents a central vignette of two women seated in traditional kangas, engaged in basket weaving, rendered in detailed intaglio linework.
