| Reverse description | At centre, a detailed high-relief depiction of the Romanesque west façade of the Cathedral of Pécs (Pécsi Székesegyház), its arched portal and twin towers rendered with architectural precision. To the upper right of the cathedral, a manuscript text panel is depicted in the field, evoking a medieval document. A fleur-de-lis ornament appears to the lower right, alongside a small heraldic cartouche. The legend 650 ÉVES A MAGYAR FELSŐOKTATÁS arcs along the upper periphery, while PÉCSI TUDOMÁNYEGYETEM is inscribed in the lower exergual area, both separated by decorative star stops. The lower segment of the coin carries a selective red coloured finish, framing the inscription. |
